About Duqm

Located in the Al-Wusta Governorate on the west coast of the Sultanate along the Arabian Sea, Duqm is located approximately 600 kilometres south of Muscat.

Duqm’s strategic location and proximity to key markets along the Indian Ocean position it as Oman’s next industrial hub –Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) – with investments of up to $15 billion earmarked for petrochemicals and infrastructure development over the next 15 years.

Occupying a land area of over 2,000 km2 and 90km of coastline along the Arabian Sea, SEZAD is poised as one of the largest developments of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa.

Significant infrastructure investments continue to be made, including residential and tourist projects.
