Duqm Refinery Appoints Feed Contract to Foster Wheeler LTD.

Duqm Refinery & Petrochemicals Industries Company LLC (Duqm Refinery) announce the selection of Foster Wheeler Ltd for the Front End Engineering Design contract of the refinery, located in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman this project is considered as one of the main economic development schemes the Sultanate has planned along with its neighbor The United Arab Emirates . The FEED study is a two year programme of detailed design, procurement, engineering and planning work to finalize all aspects of the proposal in relations to the investments ahead for decision making.
 This marks a major milestone in the project’s schedule as it demonstrates the beginning the importance and commitment of both shareholders in the progression of this major venture, this will further mark the next stepping stone for Duqm Refinery to obtain and achieve its status as one of the most promising refineries and petrochemical complexes in the region.
